Absolute Truth

Anyone who claims there is no absolute truth is absolutely wrong. There are absolute truths and there is only one truth for every given single idea. Paraphrasing this we could then say that many truths exist, but all are parallel in doctrine and complement each other. No truth contradicts another. In regard to morals, there is one right way, yet there are many wrong ways. In regard to reality there is one reality, yet every opposing or dissident account is fantasy. In regard to God, there is One true God, yet all other gods that man foolishly worships, such as money, status, fame, buddha, mohammed , etc are false impotent figures and just as incapable as their worshippers.

These facts should be clearly understood. Just as one could issue a math test to gauge the mathematical acuteness of a group of students, one could also have a morality test, to test one’s own moral ability and understanding. Some people have good moral aptitude and others have a poor level of moral awareness. One example of a person with poor moral judgment would be a person who says, “Who are you to judge who is right and who is wrong?”, when someone rebukes another for a sin. This question reveals that the asker is vastly ignorant on how to perform what or who is right or wrong. Such a question would be tantamount to asking, “How do you know that 5 + 2 = 7 and does not equal 8? Explaining why 5+2 = 7 as opposed to 8 to a purportedly mature mind isn’t necessarily a straightforward task. Although 5+2 = 7 can be proven, one would expect that a mature adult mind could arrive at this fact without an intricate thesis. If proof was needed one would wonder whether the person was simply unwillingly to admit it, didn’t understand the values of 5, 2 and or 7 or whether the person was as really maturely fit as they thought. Likewise, a refusal to admit the truths of God, especially the rudimentary truths unequivocally suggests nearly the same, - either the person is simply unwilling because of their depravity, doesn’t understand the spiritual or corporal ramifications of God’s truths or is plain foolish and or immature.

To say that there is no absolute truth can be principally proven utterly wrong. Proof of this is what I call self-defiant or self-contradictory statements. A very common self-contradicting statement is “Never say never.” This statement is self contradictory because the speaker uses the word “never” while yet condemning its usage. Likewise, if a person becomes angry and you become angry at them and say, “You should never become angry at anyone!” then you contradict yourself because you condemned this person out of your own personal anger. If someone judges another, and you say to them, “You should not judge anyone for any reason!” you contradict yourself because you yourself judged THEM for judging someone else. So then if one says “There is no absolute truth”, they undermine this very statement’s credibility because this very statement in their own doctrine, likewise cannot be absolutely true. If one says that truth is relative to one’s own convictions or mind, no one can know whether truth is truly relative to one’s own mind since this statement itself is relative, and not absolutely true. If there is no absolute truth, it cannot be absolutely true that there is no absolute truth. This is contradictory circular foolishness which surprisingly has tripped even many scholars. This is proof that truth is not relative and there has to be absolute truths to lay the foundation for everything else.

Many people feel like it is necessary to tolerate other’s beliefs because they feel like truth is obscure or relative to everyone’s own mind. Truth is neither obscure, nor relative, although it often does exist in these forms in the minds of people who are dissolute and ignorant of the immutable truths of God. Your inability to discern truth never impairs another from discerning the truth. So do not suppose that since no absolute truth appears to exist to you, that no one else can tell whether truth exists or not.

One who claims no absolute truth exists and that truth is relative to the convictions of the mind are incredibly dangerous people. Such a doctrine dissolves moral stability and opens the doors for a multitude of inappropriate, immoral and erroneous ways. Such a doctrine also creates a very unstable minded person, blind to the truth, and tolerant to all forms of foolish and erroneous forms of convictions of the human mind historically proven to be destructive to humankind.

It is ironic however that those who say that truth is relative, that we should tolerate viewpoints other than the one or ones we think are right, and that the truth cannot be known for sure are some of the most fierce fighters against the REAL truths of God. To name just a few of the real truths of God that we are referring to take for example the truth that God created the heavens and the earth, that humans and animals came straight from God without Darwinian evolution, that the Bible is the true source of wisdom, that government should be based on the laws of God, that death-worthy criminals should be executed by the government, etc. It is these very truths that by virtue of the innate depravity of people, fuels their hatred against such truths so that they futilely try to obscure the truth or else label it as extreme and unconventional.

Since America’s laws and constitution are not based on the truths of God in the Bible, and because acquaintance with the truths of God are not a prerequisite for American government officials, all society therefore influenced by American government becomes void of the truth of God. The importance to be in alignment with the truths of God is in no way accentuated by the constitution of America, nor by any of the accompanying laws, and neither by the people-pleasing dummies in the political system? (maybe I should say chaos) of America. For this reason, truth may appear relative and insignificant to those who are so dearly in touch with Americanism, by for those of us who follow the Bible and realize that God and not America is the source of all wisdom, virtue and morality, we can clearly see the truths of God and their eternal vision.

In John 18:38, we read that Pilate asked Christ, “What is truth?” Evidently the laws of his society also were not based on the truths of God and knowledge of the truths of God was not a requirement to serve in his high government position. His role in Christ’s death is part of the awful consequences of a government void of the truths of God and officials ignorant or otherwise against and or void of the truth.

It is not even necessary for me to say that America has no government agency which specializes in the acquisition of the truths of God. There are many counselors and experts that assist the government, but there are none who search the scriptures in effort to find out what is truly right in God’s sight for humans, and what is truly wrong for society in God’s sight. For example there are no government experts and counselors of the government who have searched the scriptures and found out that God says murderers should be put to death by the government. They have not searched the scriptures to find out that God says the fear of Him is the beginning of all wisdom so that the Bible should be the basis of public education. They have not searched the scriptures to find out that the truth of God says homosexuality is an abominable death worthy crime against society. They have not searched the scripture to find out that the wages of sin is death and since this is the truth of God and since babies have not committed a sin their mother’s womb, induced abortion for any reason is the death worthy crime of murder.

You are probably grumbling against me saying, “Different people have different interpretations of the Bible. How do you know which interpretation is the truth?” It is also true that in a classroom of 20 students you are likely to receive different answers to the same math problem. Different answers to a problem does not in any way make the right answer incorrect or less correct, nor should it make the correct answer obscure in a good sound teacher’s mind. Therefore for the true answer, students would look to the teacher as an unequivocal source. There may be some students who may argue there erroneous answers before the teacher. (For the sake of argument, we are assuming we have a good sound teacher) These are either poor math students or confused students. It would be resoundingly foolish to think that these students were simply providing alternate answers, because only one answer would be correct. If democracy and tolerance existed in the teaching and administration of the curriculum, the teacher would have to say to these erroneous students, “Well you have a right to your answer, so I cannot mark your answer wrong even though it is wrong,”

Likewise in society, we have to have the teacher, namely Christ, for unequivocal answers. These answers are the truth, and we cannot by our own disagreement obscure or undo the truth of Christ. It is ironic that most math students wouldn’t blatantly rely upon their own answers, but on the teacher’s answer, but in the case with God and Christ as the teacher, most people rather think they are right and that Christ, the teacher is wrong or that they have the right to feel differently than Christ the teacher. Behold the path to destruction! Be prepared to receive a complete 0 score before God on the day of His righteous test of judgment.
