"For if we go on sinning willfully after receiving the knowledge of the truth, there no longer remains a sacrifice for sins, but a certain terrifying expectation of judgment, and the fury of a fire which will consume the adversaries"

Today's generation perhaps the worse ever

It is interesting to note the restraining hand of God upon the hearts of humans protecting their corporal fragility in manifold ways against the perilous nature of sin. God restrains humans from acting out specific sinful acts hugely if not primarily through providence. But there are key historic events which have introduced or revamped the awareness of God’s morality in man’s heart which consequently has restrained many societies and mankind as a whole. The apparent irenic and elegant nature of many of these events have been too imposing for even unbelievers in God to reject entirely in an outward sense without denigrating their ego. This in turn has lead many of them to hold an ostensible form of some of the offshoots of the nature of these events, and it is correct to say that Christianity which is derived from Christ has been by far the greatest moral influence upon the hearts of men, even heathen men in an outward way. These events which I will outline have been consummated directly by the hand of God, in that He shows the world clearly His righteous lawful will for humans. What is sadly astounding however is that in each of these testimonies from God, even if there was outward compliance, inwardly mankind has soundly rejected God’s righteousness and God’s historical testimonies. It is the culmination of these righteous reiterations from God which makes today’s generation the most stiff-necked and reckless generation to date, and that by a long shot. Since the fall of mankind, humans have always been depraved and that to the lowest level. Tenacious adherence to depravity is the nature of depravity, and such adherence continues despite any number of righteous testimonies it receives condemning it. As these righteous testimonies reach their apogee, in order for depravity to maintain itself, it reflectively reaches its climax but in opposition to righteousness. What therefore distinguishes today’s generation from prior generations is that today’s generation rejects all of God’s righteous testimonies that their ancestors likewise rejected in addition to all contemporary testimonies from God revealed after prior generations. Because the cumulative unraveling of the corporal testimony of God against unbelievers is nearing a corporal end, today’s generation in terms of depravity is quickly approaching it’s zenith in sin.

Here is an outline of some of the greatest revelations from God unto righteousness for mankind which are constantly rejected by today's unbeliever.

First God institutes the world in righteousness, and inscribes in Adam’s heart true knowledge and righteousness leading to obedience to Him. Adam was the natural “son of God” in that God cared for him naturally, imparted knowledge and understanding directly to him, equipping him with all the physical and mental faculties to live a perfect natural life. Nevertheless for God’s own perfect and Holy reasons, God did not close the door for Adam to live an imperfect life either. God allowed Adam to fall into sin and rebellion which then trapped Adam under the curses of the Ten Commandments and opened Adam’s eyes to the exceedingly broad spectrum of the awful sins that sprung to life as a result of His disobedience to God. Before Adam ate of the forbidden tree, Adam didn’t know about murder, he didn’t know about stealing, he didn’t know about having other gods other than His Creator. All such atrocities didn’t exist and never could have existed so long as Adam obeyed God’s original command.

God created the first man Adam in righteousness, but Adam fell from this righteousness in rebellion to God. Nevertheless the righteousness Adam inherited from God was supposed to be conveyed by him to his posterity. However the world translated into violence and wickedness, despite the righteousness that Adam was formerly familiar with and should have bore witness of.

The world after the fall of Adam but before the great flood rejected the righteousness God revealed through Adam, Cain rejected the righteousness God gave Abel, and the rest of the world rejected the fresh evidence of God’s hand in the new creation. This morphed into the same apathy leading to violence and recalcitrance against God we witness in similitude today such as the portrayal of man’s love for violence as glamorized in movies, arts such as boxing and sports, envy, and a sundry of philosophies that reject God such as atheism, evolution and all other legendary portrayals of man’s penchant for sin.

God however comes in again, and reinstates the world in righteousness. God brings a universal and catastrophic flood that erases all of the works of sinful man and destroys every person who rejected Him, which by the way, happened to be EVERYBODY except a family of eight. God does not repopulate the world via a family of heathens, but rather through a family of Christians who held obedience and reverence to God and not the precepts of men as their doctrine of life. This is significant because this godly family undoubtedly taught the generations of their offspring the terrifying judgment God brought upon the earth because of atheism, murder, sexual immorality, theft, haughtiness, conceit, selfishness, greed for money and status and all the other reprobate deeds against God. Many people will ask you, “How do you know that God is right, and that the Bible is right, and that Mohammed is not right, and that Buddha is not right, and that atheism is not right, and that Taoism is not right?” The event of the flood is a verifiable event. Who then did God choose to propagate the world? Did God save a Buddhist family from the flood and choose that family to replenish the world? Did God express favoritism to an Islamic family by saving them from the flood and using them to replenish the world? Sorry, but Buddha and Mohammed would not have survived the flood if they existed in that day. The God true Christians worship is the God that brought the flood, and God saved a family that believed in Him, and choose them to regenerate the world. Noah and his family witnessed the righteous and terrifying wrath of God against the non-elect because of sin. This increased their fear and reverence to God which served as an unshakable mnemonic to all the ones they lived among after the flood as a caveat against sin. The immediate offspring of the Noah’s family also witnessed the immediate evidence of a catastrophic flood perhaps through certain landscape forms, geographic upheavals, and loss of plants and animals in ways that strategically verified that a monumental flood just years ago really did occur. Evidence still exists today, but certainly not in the intensity that it did then. Nevertheless, even in that day, many of the godless people expressed skepticism to the flood and especially to why it occurred, just as godless people do today.

Even with the evidence of God’s flood, mankind nevertheless slipped back into his renegade state of depravity and immoral oblivion to God. Violence and competition ran the gamut and even homosexuality sprang up in the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah. All this was in view or in rejection of the terrible flood that God had sent earlier in history as testimony to His deep abhorrence to such evils.

So God destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah Himself and the rubble and ruins of those cities served as evidence of God’s hatred for homosexuality, sensuality and a host of other sins such as we have today, that also existed probably in a lesser degree in Sodom and Gomorrah. Logically, you would think then that homosexuality would be nonexistent in today’s “civilized” and “learned” world because it learned from history God’s severe abhorrence for such sins by the Great Flood and by destroying two cities for their tolerance for such wickedness. No, but man’s depravity must continue.

God then creates His own nation, entirely from the start and sustains it for hundreds of years. For this nation, God reiterates His Holy Law over mankind again, and even supplements it with practical cases and examples of justice and judgment. God reveals in profound depth to the world how a nation should function, what the nature of the laws should be, what the penalty to transgression of the laws should be, how these laws should be administered and what man’s responsible is to Him. The embodiment of a righteous society was fully realized in this nation God established. It should seem amazing that even as Israel existed other nations fumbled and experimented around with various other foolish laws and institutions which proved inferior or totally incompetent to properly and morally govern a society of people. These nations rejected the perfect example God revealed in the nation of Israel of old. Even in so-called civilized America separation of this government’s laws from the Laws that God established in Israel is a treasured belief among those who reject God. Even if Israel of old existed today and God ruled it as He once did, ostensible Christians in America would still call America the greatest nation, and would approve America’s quagmire of manmade laws over God’s laws for Israel.

Even Israel turned immediately from God’s law and followed the pernicious ways of the heathens in surrounding lands. Prophet after prophet as we read in the Old Testament testified against the wicked rebellion that Israel had against God and God’s law. The godless in Israel in that day may have pretended to follow God’s law, but in the end, we see that they persecuted and murdered God’s prophets, and adhered to a level of hypocrisy that even the heathens in other lands saw through.

Lastly and by far the greatest, God comes to earth Himself in human form, and lives out an entire human life from childhood to adulthood, in perfect obedience to the Law that all of mankind is responsible to. He is Jesus because He is a human, He is Christ because He saves His elect, and He is God because He is God. He shows us on a personal day by day basis how a human should live, speak, think and act righteously and uprightly before God. This is the same Man that spoke with Adam in the garden of Eden, the same Man that spoke with Noah and shut the door to Noah’s ark because of the flood, the same Man that communed with Abraham about destroying Sodom and Gomorrah, the same Man that spoke with Moses on the mount and gave him the Ten Commandments, the same Man that died on the cross, the same Man that has since the beginning of earth expressed His strong disapproval for sin, and His love for righteousness. It would therefore be reasonable that such a morally famished world would welcome the pristine freshness of the moral quality and perfection of Christ Jesus’ life and would emulate Christ in all reverence to His perfect reiteration of what He reveals that God requires of humans. If one didn’t understand the depravity of man, it would seem like fantasy if you learned that man nevertheless murdered Christ, the innocent and perfect one. If you didn’t understand the depravity of man, you would marvel at how man could do such a thing, especially in view of the fact that he did it unto His Maker, and against the very One who has judged him and will judge him in the end. Alas, man tried to murder the chosen One of God as an infant, they quarreled and stigmatized Him as a preacher of righteousness, and they condemned Him to death on a cross through the wretched appearance of civility and law, - and by the way, HIS OWN law, the Ten Commandments. Christ is the expressed human form of the very Man who made all of the people whom He allowed to put Him to death on the cross, and is the very Man whom the world ultimately rejects. Reader, you and I don’t have an excuse.

What awaits us now? History has bombarded us with more than a plethora of unequivocal cases proving the universal depravity and recalcitrant nature of fallen man against God. We can go from the lie you told, the pride in your heart, the sensuality you treasured, the foolish laws we behold, the evil wars we see, the theft we see the rich fall into, the drugs of the poor, the atrocities Europeans committed against the Indians, the injustice of racism, the adultery your friend committed, the dishonor you rendered to your parents, politics, democracy, atheism, homosexuality, evolution, the corruption of American so-called justice system, the apathy people have for abortion, the tolerance you have for curse words, your selfish quest for more money, injustice of insurance companies, your complaint against the weather, the madness of Hitler, the deism of Benjamin Franklin, the cruelty of Andrew Jackson, the duels of Alexander Hamilton and Aaron Burr, road rage, gang members, the murder of Christ, the beheading of John the Baptist, the darkness of Charles Darwin, the devastation of various cults such as scientology, the wretchedness of the Internet, ---- I can go as long as history. Clearly, the answer to man’s problems doesn’t lie in man himself nor in his technologies, his reasoning, his religions, his money, nor in his disbelief. God has not left the world in the dark to experiment in blind ignorance concerning morality. Time shall fail me if I described Abel, Noah, Samuel, Abraham, Joseph, Isaiah , Jeremiah, Job, Moses, Joshua, David, Ezra, Daniel, Hosea, Amos, Ezekiel, John the Baptist, Peter, Paul, John , James, and all the great men who were given a heart of understanding from the God who fully understands who proclaimed to nations and to the world the single message of righteousness which leads to faith in God and reverence to Him and repentance from the rotten and age-old depravity defined in all the blindness we stumble over today such as atheism, agnosticism, wicca, other religions, democracy, and etc. These doctrines have been proven to be destructive to societies and have received the condemnation of God. Atheism, various cults and religions, homosexuality, abortion, euthanasia, violence, sexual immorality, adultery, conceit, apathy toward God and morality, greed, and vanity are not principally new, but are the result of the on-going depravity of man so deeply resented by the Maker of man.

Nuance between today’s depravity and yesterday’s depravity is defined in the cumulative rejection of God’s truths despite all of God’s reiterations and revelations of these truths, and in full view of the accumulation of the utter failure of the efforts of man. Man’s depravity is utterly depraved because it continues on despite the looming judgment of God and despite all the cumulative historical evidence of God’s serious displeasure with it. Since we are very near the end of time as the Bible states, today’s generation has nearly a universe worth of time and events to reject to continue its work of depravity. As technology improves and becomes ubiquitous proliferation of all the historic and current testimonies of man’s failure throughout the world makes everyone a witness to the utter failure of all the works of man, and makes everyone cognizant of what God has stated in His word. As literacy improves in poverty stricken countries, their awareness of the wickedness of all nations’ history also improves, and thus they should discern more clearly the universality of the depravity of man. People nevertheless continue in their depraved blindness, often admitting others’ blindness, while considering themselves in some special way unique and immune to the foolishness he or she says exists in others.

Today’s generation follows after the same path of foolishness and ignorance previous generations have always followed. Technology has duped many to believe however, that they are in some kind of way superior to any previous generation. Some turn from looking for answers on this earth, but instead of turning to God, they turn to their technology to take them to space, so that they can seek answers in the cosmos, and in space, and in imaginary “other life forms”. This is nevertheless the fruit of the same historic rejection pertinent to fallen man who rejects the truths of God that angels and demons exists, but believe that other imaginary forms of life exist.
